Pathways to Graduation

These sample program plans present an overview of courses that students majoring in communication must complete to obtain an undergraduate degree within three or four years. Your program plan will differ, depending on previous credit received, your course schedule, and available course offerings.

Three Year Plan

You can complete your required course work in an accelerated three-year plan, a sample of which is shown here.

Four Year Plan

Sample four year graduation plan. Students who receive credit for courses taken prior to matriculation may be able to reduce their course load or avoid taking summer classes if they have enough elective units to graduate. Students may choose to complete a GE cluster to satisfy five requirements (4 GEs and Writing II) with three classes. GE clusters also carry honors credit.
