Zhengyi (Sophie) Liang

My name is Zhengyi (Sophie) Liang, and I'm a PhD candidate in the Communication department at UC Davis. I study media effects and intergroup relations within the broader fields of political communication and intergroup communication. Specifically, I have two lines of research. The first line of research concerns the effects of campaign messages on political processes and everyday life. The second line of research pertains to how political polarization is extended to everyday activities beyond the political realm and designing effective interventions to curb political polarization.
