Research Focus

I am a graduate student in the Department of Communication at University of California, Davis. I am interested in the interaction between individual preferences and social environmental influence through computer-mediated communication. As a member of the Computational Communication Lab, I focus on using computational methods to answer how culture evolves due to structural dynamics and individual preferences and how individuals adapt to the environment. Currently, I’m working on a project using social network modeling to examine the causal mechanism of institutional isomorphism among online gaming communities.
