AI for Social Good: Navigating AI Solutions to Address and Overcome Social Challenges
Yi-Chieh (EJ) Lee
Abstract: In the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence (AI), we find unprecedented opportunities to address some of the most pressing global challenges of our time. This talk will spotlight the projects emerging from Dr. Lee's lab, particularly in the realms of AI conversational agents and natural language processing. These tools are instrumental in dissecting and understanding the complex dynamics of social stigma. More importantly, they enable us to craft targeted human-AI interaction interventions aimed at reducing stigmatized thoughts and behaviors. This presentation will not only showcase the tangible impacts of Dr. Lee's projects in promoting social good but will also explore the vast potential of future AI-driven initiatives in this transformative field.
