POSITION DESCRIPTION FOR LECTURER APPOINTMENT

Department of Communication University of California, Davis

The Department of Communication at the University of California at Davis invites applications for a temporary teaching position in Communication for the 2020-2021 academic year. Availability of this position depends upon final administrative approval. The Department seeks applicants with demonstrated teaching experience and effectiveness. An M.A. in communication is required, but a Ph.D. is strongly desired. This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Unit.

We seek a lecturer with teaching or research experience in two or more of the following areas: health communication, campaigns, and content analysis. Applicants must have previous teaching experience and demonstrated effectiveness in teaching courses that comport with the department’s quantitative, social-scientific focus. The appointee will teach up to four courses during the 2020-2021 academic year. Compensation is commensurate with ability and experience.
