POSITION DESCRIPTION FOR LECTURER APPOINTMENT

Department of Communication University of California, Davis

The Department of Communication at the University of California at Davis invites applications for a temporary teaching position in Communication for 2019-2020 academic year. Availability of this position depends upon final administrative approval. The Department seeks applicants with demonstrated teaching experience and effectiveness. An M.A. in communication is required, but a Ph.D. is strongly desired. This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Unit. 

We seek a lecturer whose primary teaching interests include two or more of the following areas: computer-mediated communication, social networks, social media, and quantitative research methods. Applicants must have previous teaching experience and demonstrated effectiveness in teaching. The appointee will teach up to four courses during the 2019-2020 academic year. Compensation is commensurate with ability and experience.
