Communication Faculty Receive 2 Facebook Research Awards
Facebook recently awarded two grants to the Department of Communication researchers in the UC Davis College of Letters and Science to study misinformation and polarization on social media.
Researchers in the Department were recently awarded two research awards from Facebook. One project by Cuihua "Cindy" Shen, Jingwen Zhang, and Sijia Qian will investigate the use of media literacy interventions to debunk out-of-context visual posts. The other project is a collaboration lead by Magdalena Wojcieszak investigating the effect of repeated exposure to misinformation.
