About

I am an assistant professor at the Department of Communication. Based on advanced computational and quantitative methods, I study the impacts of inequality, disparity, and risk in the context of health, environment, and governance. Before joining UC Davis, I was a postdoctoral research fellow at Stanford University, jointly affiliated with the Program on Democracy and the Internet (PDI) and the Digital Civil Society Lab (DCSL). I received my PhD at the Annenberg School for Communication, University of Pennsylvania. More information about my research is available here.

If you are interested in studying the ways people perceive and share information online and offline; investigating the social and psychological consequences and mechanisms of communication; and learning and conducting research using quantitative and computational techniques, I'd be happy to talk.
