About

Virginia Hamilton has expertise in designing and delivering training programs, creating human resources policies and procedures, and re-engineering work processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. She performed those functions in the private sector in various capacities, including training designer, vice president and director of project development, before she joined UC Davis in 1999. She has extensive experience coaching business owners and their executive teams on group and organizational communication skills and program design.

Teaching

Dr. Hamilton teaches courses in Organizational Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Theories of Human Communication, and Semantic and Pragmatic Functions of Language. She also is a faculty sponsor for college interns.
